Restored faith in the American public

My faith in the American public is slowly being restored with this news from the Hollywood Reporter newswire.

Fox News gains, other news networks fall

NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) – Fox News Channel was the only cable news service in August to grow in viewership from a year ago, gaining 20% in primetime and 29% across the entire day, according to Nielsen Media Research.

By comparison, CNN fell by 9% in primetime and total day, while MSNBC lost 21% in primetime and 11% for the day. Headline News and CNBC also suffered losses greater than 20% compared with August 2002. It marked the 28th consecutive month that Fox led the news channel pack.

The bottom line is that people are wising up to the nonsense pushed upon them by CNNABCCBSNBCMSNBCNEWYORKTIMESWASHINGTONPOST. They can see the liberal tripe just does not match up with what they believe to be true and they are thrilled that there is an alternative.

Compared to the rest of those so-called \”news networks\” and \”newspapers\”, Fox IS conservative. It\’s called REPORTING the news instead of interpreting it. Peter Jennings, Dan Rather, Tom Brokaw and the rest of these purported representatives of the First Amendment can disappear from the airwaves and America would be a better place.

And let\’s face it, the only reason Hannity and Colmes is so successful is because of Sean Hannity. Alan Colmes would be unemployed if it weren\’t for his partner.

Ask yourself this question. Why is conservative talk radio leading the pack in new shows and growth? It\’s because liberals whine and complain. They have nothing to offer but failed policies and anti-American sentiment. Conservatives, however, offer a roadmap that follow the Constitution of our great nation.

Thank God that we still have the freedom to choose from a variety of media outlets. There is still hope…
