Over 45 years in tech. From my first computer in 1980 to building one of the first websites in 1995 to AI today — I've been in the arena for every shift, and I'm still standing.
I got my first computer in 1980 — a TI-99/4A — and taught myself to code before most people had heard the word "modem." By 1995 I'd built one of the first 18,000 websites in the world. Every new wave of technology felt like a puzzle I had to solve. Some of those puzzles turned into bestselling books. Others turned into businesses, podcasts, and stages around the world.
The thread through all of it? I show up early, I learn by doing, and I share what I find. That's been the formula since day one.
Got my hands on a TI-99/4A and taught myself to code. No YouTube tutorials. No Stack Overflow. Just a manual and stubbornness. This is where it all started.
Built WorldVillage.com when the entire web was smaller than a small town. The internet felt like a frontier, and I wanted to homestead.
Turned a passion for games into one of the top gaming destinations on the web. Millions of visitors, long before "content creator" was a job title.
Published The AdSense Code and hit the New York Times bestseller list. It became the playbook for a generation of online publishers figuring out how to actually make money on the web.
Wrote 14 more books covering digital business, social media, Twitter, mobile apps, and live video. Each one tackled the platform or trend that was reshaping how people connected and did business.
Took the TEDxMileHigh stage to talk about something that still drives everything I do: being human in a digital world. Technology changes. People don't.
Co-founded what became one of the most popular crypto podcasts in the world. Now in its 9th year with 400K+ monthly downloads, still going strong, still making blockchain make sense.
Went deep into the decentralized web. Built, collected, invested, and helped thousands of people understand what was real and what was hype in the crypto space.
This is the biggest shift I've seen in 45 years. Co-hosting the AI for Everyone Show, building GrowingProfits.com, writing AI Made Simple (coming December 2026), articles on Inc.com and MSN.com, and speaking to audiences around the world. Still here. Still building.
I've never been able to look at a new technology and not wonder what it could do. That curiosity is what got me online in 1995, into crypto in 2017, and into AI before most people had heard of ChatGPT. I don't chase trends. I follow genuine fascination.
When you've lived through the birth of the web, the rise of social media, the mobile revolution, the blockchain wave, and the AI explosion, you start to see the patterns. New tech follows familiar arcs. I help people recognize where we are in the cycle so they can move with confidence.
The best part of being early isn't bragging rights. It's being able to turn around and say, "Hey, come look at this." Whether it's through a book, a podcast, or a keynote, my goal is always the same: make the complex simple and help people take action.
I bring 30+ years of stories, insights, and practical takeaways to every talk. If you're looking for a speaker who's actually built the things he talks about, let's have a conversation.
