Leaving Australia

At 10:30 am on June 12th, Mary and I checked out of the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney and made our way to the airport.

Thirty-one hours later, we\’re finally home. We had a 3-hour layover in Fiji and a 7-hour layover in Los Angeles. So close, but yet so far!

Anyhow, I didn\’t have problems with jet lag in Sydney, but everyone tells me it really hits when you get home.

I can see that they are right.

In the past two days, I\’ve had just a few hours of sleep. I figured I would be absolutely exhausted when we got home and that my own bed would put me out like a light.

Well, it\’s almost 4 am here and I am writing a blog entry. I guess that says it all, huh?

On the way out of Sydney, I was able to shoot some video from the sky. Here\’s a new clip that shows the downtown and the outlying area from somewhere around 20,000 feet.

The trip to Australia was fantastic and I know I will be visiting Sydney again one day.

Right now, I need to try to catch up on some sleep…
