Incident taking place on my United Flight right now!
People boarding and being seated in orderly fashion. No forced removals. No violence. People seem happy and trusting of the airline.
Oh, wait. That incident happens every day, again and again.
I took a page out of the Peter Shankman playbook and bought a bag of M&Ms (M&M\’s U.S.A.) for the flight attendants.
As I boarded and handed the bag to one of the girls I told her \”you\’ve had to put up with a lot crap. Know that you are appreciated.\”
As I made my way to my seat you could still hear the attendants saying \”awwwww\”
Several minutes later one came by my seat to thank me again. She said the other attendants were laughing at her because it made her cry.
I asked her how bad has it been?
She said it\’s horrible with some people threatening her.
To me that is equally appalling as the horrible judgment call of whoever was in charge of the force that removed the Doctor from the flight.
I shall most certainly report back if the incredibly volatile non-situation on my flight becomes a situation. But I doubt that will happen.
