I love Amazon.com. Even though I probably shouldn\’t shop there due to the amount of smut they sell, I still love shopping there. But they really ticked me off today.
I ordered a copy of Better Homes and Gardens Home Designer Suite 6.0 a couple weeks back. We are thinking of building a new home and I wanted to get an idea of what it might look like. Well, the program was not what I wanted, so I decided to return it to Amazon. I knew they would charge me a fee for returning the item, as well as a shipping cost. But I had no IDEA what else they would do.
The item cost $74.99. The charged me $4.98 for using their return shipping label. And then they charged me $37.50 for a Return Processing Fee! My total refund for this item? $41.99. WHAT?
So I emailed them back and told them that was completely unacceptable. I told them to charge me for the product and ship it to me. I\’ll get more for it on ebay as a USED item than sending it back to Amazon as NEW! Is this not ridiculous?
