How to Use Social Media for Event Planning

I have attended dozens of events over the years. Sometimes I am a speaker and other times I am there to learn or network. I LOVE events! Conferences, seminars and workshops are a linchpin in my success story.

Planning an event is NOT an easy task! Not only can the logistics be complex, but filling your event with attendees, booking the right speakers, securing good sponsors and creating a buzz can be quite daunting.

Fortunately, social media has created opportunities for event planners to accomplish all this and more efficiently and effectively.

But just as with an other approach to social media, you must know what you are doing.

That\’s why I have released a new report for anyone who is putting on any kind of event. It\’s directed to seminar, conference and workshops, but you can apply many of the same philosophies and strategies to webinars, teleseminars and hangouts.

\"s-socialmediaeventsreport\"The report is called \”How to Use Social Media to Make Your Event, Seminar or Conference a Massive Success\”, and it is available for download completely free!

Making the assumption that the biggest challenges for event planners is putting butts in seats and getting attendees to communicate with others on social platforms to create community (and buzz about the event), I have compiled this report with those goals in mind.

The 38-page report begins with a general philosophy for using social sites, covers the major sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Pinterest, LinkedIn,  Flickr and YouTube, and finishes with a strategy for building and engaging an audience, a sample promotional calendar, and suggestions for using social sites during your event.

To download your copy, simply click here.  No registration is required.  If you right-click the link and select \”save-as\”, the PDF can be saved to your computer.
