The NEW JoelComm.com

Change is inevitable. We either swim against it, get sucked into it or go with it.

As an entrepreneur, I like change. I enjoy taking risks because swinging for the fences is the only way you\’ll ever hit a home run. Besides, you\’ll never know what would happen if you don\’t go for it!

That\’s why I\’ve decided to get a face lift.

No, I\’m not talking about the wrinkles on my brow or the bags under my eyes.

I\’m talking about my web site and my public face.

After ten years of blogging on this site, I have made a BIG move. Not only did I change my hosting service, but I have also made the leap from Movable Type to WordPress.

So, augmented by a sparkling new design, I would like to welcome you to the NEW JoelComm.com!

Created by my friend Matt Clark at TweetPages.com, the new design highlights who I am, what I\’ve done, what I am currently doing and what I am thinking about in a fresh new way.

As I took some time away from my business, I considered what I wanted to do when I re-entered the marketplace. What I realized is that my gifts haven\’t changed.

I am a communicator and creator. As such, I will always be an author, speaker, entrepreneur and a consultant.

Whenever I communicate through my writing and speaking, I seek to inspire, educate and entertain.

When I create, I seek to be original and make an impact on individuals and the marketplace.

And when I consult with others, whether stay-at-home entrepreneurs or large corporations, it\’s my hope that my experience and insights will provide the right solutions.

You\’ll notice that the main sections of the site are color-coded. I think it\’s pretty nifty!

Of course, the blog is an integral part of the new design. I don\’t write regularly, but when I do it\’s because I have something to say. (Duh.)

WordPress makes it SO much easier for me to interact with you and reply to your comments. The social share buttons are more inline with what is expected on content sites today.

At the top of the site, you\’ll find easy links to my presence on all the social sites. Simply click the icons to find me and follow as you wish.

All-in-all, I think the site is more current and easy to interact with then the previous incarnation.

The bottom line is that I\’m just a guy trying to do cool stuff and make a difference in this world.

I really want to focus on bringing value to others and it\’s my hope that this new design communicates who I am to others.

When was the last time you did a check on your blog or site? Is it current? Relevant? Does it communicate to the world who you are and what you are about?

As always, I\’d love to hear your comments below. Now that I am on WordPress it should be MUCH easier to interact with you.
