Water is Life

Water. There is no short supply of it running from our faucets, springing forth from our drinking fountains or packaged in plastic bottles lining store shelves. It\’s clean, it\’s purified and it\’s necessary.

The vast majority of us will never know what it is like to not have a clean water supply. We take it for granted. It\’s ubiquitous.

That\’s not the case for many outside of the Western world, however. In fact, for many the thought of having anything other than muddy, filthy sludge as a primary water supply is just an unrealistic dream.

That\’s why it is our responsibility to do something about it.

Over the past few years, I\’ve spoken and written about WaterIsLife.com, a non-profit philanthropic organization that is dedicated to bringing clean water sources to third world nations who have never experienced clean, clear, refreshing water.

It is an understatement to say that the water supply in many of these regions is unhygienic.

Here are the sad facts:

– Over 1.8 million people will die this year because of waterborne disease.

– 6,500 people die each day – 5,000 of those are children.

The truth is that the majority of our toilet bowls contain purer water than the murky, disease-infested water that is currently available to over 1.1 billion people. Ouch.

We have much to be grateful for, and we are responsible for our neighbors in need of life-giving solutions.

That\’s why I am calling on you to join with me and help.

WaterIsLife has developed a very cool water straw that acts as a filtration device for those accustomed to drinking from muddy, bacteria-laden, diseased water supplies. It\’s an amazing device that is proven to be effective against waterborne diseases such as typhoid, cholera, dysentery, guinea worm, and diarrhea, and removes particles as small as fifteen microns. That\’s pretty amazing technology!

One of these straws can provide an entire year\’s worth of clean drinking water for a person! And the real amazing part is that the straw only costs $10.

Please visit WaterIsLife.com and learn more about this revolutionary device and the organization that is putting them into the hands of truly needy people around the world.

If everyone who reads this would buy just ONE water straw, we could equip an entire village in Africa, Haiti, Peru, India or any number of other places around the globe.

Would you please consider making a donation of $10 on the site?

I\’d like to put my money where my mouth is. For every water straw purchased before May 15th, 2012, I will purchase a matching straw up to a total of 500 units.

That means if 500 people purchase one straw, I will purchase an additional 500 straws.

There you have it. The cause is legitimate. The solution is real. And 100% of the money you give goes directly to the work of manufacturing and delivering water-filtration straws into the hands of those who so desperately need them.

$10. That\’s all it costs. If you\’ll skip a couple trips to Starbucks, one trip to the movies, or a lunch, you won\’t even feel it.

Will you help? I look forward to joining with you to make a difference today. Please be generous and bring the gift of life through your donation.
