iFart Mobile #12 Most Popular iPhone App in History

According to an article in Mashable, iFart has been dubbed the #12 most popular iPhone app in a new infographic created by three companies specializing in iOS apps.

Game-maker Chillingo, app search engine Chomp and app blog 148apps, released this very interesting infographic to celebrate the milestone of Apple having 500,000 apps in their iTunes AppStore. A great feat, indeed!

The entire infographic is at the end of this post.

There are two things I would like to point out.

First of all, my team was there at the beginning. Our iVote Mobile application was one of the first 500 apps released into the appstore back in July 2008.

But the piece of info which is more fun is related to iFart. According to the infographic and based on the creators\’ criteria, iFart Mobile is the twelfth most popular iPhone app ever!

Measuring by number of days in the #1 spot in the AppStore, iFart comes in at #12 with twenty-one days in the coveted #1 position.

iFart has now been available for over 2 1/2 years. It is the novelty gift which keeps on giving.
